How to Make a 3D Pie Chart

  1. Enter your data:

Add a label and a value for each slice. The 3D pie chart maker works out the percentages for you, so you can paste raw numbers.

  2. Set the 3D view:
    • Tilt is the viewing angle. Low values look at the pie from the side; high values look down from above.
    • Depth is how thick the pie is, as a percentage of its radius.
  3. Style your 3D pie graph:

Change the title, background color, slice colors, legend position, and internal labels. Set Hole Size above 0 to turn it into a 3D donut chart.

  4. Generate and download:

Click "Generate Chart" to refresh the preview, hover a slice to pull it out and check its value, then save your 3D pie chart as PNG, JPEG, or SVG.

Need a flat chart instead? Use the 2D pie chart maker.

3D Pie Chart Maker - Frequently Asked Questions

Is this 3D pie chart maker free?

Yes. You can make and download as many 3D pie charts as you like without signing up. Everything runs in your browser, and your data is never uploaded to a server.

What do the Tilt and Depth settings do?

Tilt controls the angle you look at the chart from: 15° is close to a side view, 75° is almost straight down. Depth controls how thick the pie is, from 5% to 50% of its radius. Both update the preview right away.

How do I make a 3D donut chart?

Set 'Hole Size' to a value between 0 and 1 (for example 0.5) and click 'Generate Chart'. The chart keeps its 3D look, and you can see the inner wall through the hole.

Can I download my 3D pie chart as SVG?

Yes. Every 3D pie chart can be saved as PNG, JPEG, or SVG. The SVG file stays sharp at any size, which is handy for slides and print.

When should I use a 3D pie chart instead of a 2D one?

3D pie charts work well when the goal is to grab attention, such as in presentations, reports, and infographics. The perspective makes slices at the front look slightly bigger than slices at the back, so for precise comparisons a 2D pie chart is easier to read. You can switch between the two at any time with the 'Chart Type' setting.
